El mundo del deporte despidió a la Reina Isabel II en las redes sociales, especialmente los equipos de fútbol de la Premier League y las diferentes ligas alrededor del mundo. Además, la Fórmula 1 también envió su pésame tras la muerte de la reina.
El Arsenal, equipo por el que hinchaba Isabel II, brindó un minuto de silencio en el partido de la UEFA Europa League ante el Zurich. Luego, al entretiempo, ambos clubes mostraron su respeto y condolencias ante la partida de la monarca del Reino Unido. Además, el equipo Gunner publicó una imagen en su cuenta de Twitter.

Por otra parte, desde la Premier League publicaron un comunicado donde manifestó: “La Premier League está profundamente entristecida al enterarse del fallecimiento de Su Majestad la Reina, Isabel II. Nuestros pensamientos y condolencias están con la familia real y todos los que lloran la pérdida de Su Majestad en todo el mundo”.

La cuenta oficial de la Fórmula 1 también envió sus condolencias tras la muerte de la reina y la escudería británica de Mercedes Benz, lamentó el fallecimiento de la representante de la Corona y Toto Wolff, director del equipo, mandó un mensaje en nombre de todo el equipo en redes sociales.

Los dos equipos de Manchester, tanto el United (que realizó también un minuto de silencio en su encuentro por Europa League) y el City publicaron distintas imágenes de la reina entregando el trofeo de la FA Cup.
